On Tuesday morning, Catalan newspaper Sport had a story about Ansu Fati.

It was claimed that following his season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, Barcelona will be listening to offers for a permanent transfer, including from the Seagulls.

Now it’s time for Estadio Deportivo to share a story on the forward, this time pointing out an alternative destination for him.

The outlet writes that Fati’s entourage ‘would not see with bad eyes’ signing a ‘lucrative contract’ with clubs from Saudi Arabia.

Barcelona are not making any decisions for now, as they’d even consider using him in case he has an impressive season with Brighton.

Now with the player switching between La Liga and the Premier League, it’s interesting that Saudi football come up as a scenario, especially because he’s just 21.

Since joining Brighton, Fati has three goals and ten appearances, and is still fighting for a place in Roberto De Zerbi’s starting team.

Estadio Deportivo make it clear he’s set to have many options next summer, as even if he fails to impress at the Seagulls, there may be some good money waiting for him.

Ansu Fati will listen to any offers that come his way in the summer once his loan deal at Brighton and Hove Albion comes to an end.

That’s according to Sport, who say ‘proposals will be heard’, further opening the door to the forward potentially staying at Brighton long-term.

The newspaper explains that this season at Brighton will be one that determines Fati’s future, with it very likely he’ll be leaving Barcelona permanently next summer.

The youngster joined Brighton on loan after it was made clear that he was not a part of Barcelona’s plans for this season because of his problems with injury last year.

He thus joined the Seagulls and after an irregular start has now started to pick up the pace, beginning to perform and shine under Roberto De Zerbi, as many players seem to do.

That’s pleasing for Barcelona as they need to sell and Fati knows that he will never be indispensable there, so ‘proposals will be heard’. The belief is that if he keeps up his current form, or even better, improves it, then he will have plenty of them.

The player believes some of them will come from the Premier League, where there is money to be spent and ‘important clubs’ who could bid for him if he continues to perform at Brighton.

Then there is the Seagulls themselves, who still have cash to spare after another summer of big sales and would surely be keen on keeping the youngster if the opportunity was there.

Either way, it appears that a decision ‘will have to be made’ in the summer and Fati will be on the move, either back to the Amex or somewhere new entirely if the offers are there as expected.

Can Uzun’s rapid development at 1. FC Nürnberg has not gone unnoticed and has drawn attention from several clubs, including Brighton & Hove Albion.

That’s according to Sky Deutschland, who state the 17-year-old’s ‘strong performances’ have ‘aroused interest’ from the Seagulls.

It’s said Brighton are one of the clubs to have put out feelers for the attacking midfielder.

The Turkey U20 international spent four years in Nürnberg’s youth system before he was promoted to their first team towards the end of last season.

Operating as an attacking midfielder and as a striker, he has scored eight goals and registered two assists from 12 games this season for the second division German club.

Uzun’s deal runs until 2026 and the report claims he could leave his current employer if there’s an offer between €5m and €10m. Sky only mention he has aroused interest from the Premier League side, without making it clear if they are willing to make an offer.

The player will turn 18 years of age next month and that will make him eligible to make a switch to England in January, if Brighton were to secure his services.

Italian journalist Daniele Adani has revealed a message he received from Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto de Zerbi before their midweek win over Ajax.

The journalist has been speaking in Italy, with his comments relayed by Tuttomercatoweb, about the message he received from De Zerbi ahead of the big Europa League clash.

Adani and De Zerbi are old friends, with the former often going out of his way to praise his compatriot and discuss their relationship.

The pair appear to be in regular contact as De Zerbi continues to shine in England with Brighton, who he has taken to the upper reaches of the Premier League and into Europe.

They took their next step forward this week with their first ever European win, securing a 2-0 victory over European giants Ajax courtesy of goals from Joao Pedro and Ansu Fati.

It was the latest step in the club’s rapid rise under the Italian, who has established himself as one of the up-and-coming managers in Europe during his time with the Seagulls.

He’s already been linked with bigger clubs as a result but has often insisted he loves life with the Seagulls, something he further demonstrated in his comments to Adani.

“12.23 yesterday afternoon, Thursday of the Europa League: a friend sends me a message,” revealed the journalist.

“I wanted to share it with you, because I have always been convinced that good generates good and special people are always needed by others too and it is right that their profound thoughts, not always but sometimes, are shared even if they arise from conversations private.”

He then shared the audio from the message that the Brighton boss had sent him, which was as follows:

“Hi Lele, I’m walking around the city with a hat and glasses so no one recognizes me,” the Italian said.

“How nice it is to see small children on the day of the match walking with their shirts and scarves, already waiting for the match. I got a shot of goosebumps. If one were to only think about that, how come you can play badly, miss a tackle, finish second or not try a dribble with malice in your head.

“That stuff that is football, at 44 years old I’m still in this state. Hi Lele, I wanted to tell you who understand it. You and a few others.”

Feyenoord manager Arne Slot is ‘obsessed’ by Brighton and Hove Albion and their style of play under Roberto de Zerbi, watching their games religiously to try and imitate them.

That’s according to journalist Pieter Zwart, who says the highly rated Dutch coach is determined to learn as much as he can about Brighton and emulate their recent success.

Feyenoord are currently flying high under Slot after winning the Eredivisie title last season, sitting third in the league table but top of Group E in the Champions League with six points from three games.

They continued their strong form in Europe this season with an impressive win over Lazio this week, beating Maurizio Sarri’s side 3-1 in De Kuip with a dominant display.

The Dutch club appear to be going from strength to strength under Slot’s guidance, playing an attractive, attacking brand of football that is earning them plaudits.

That’s very familiar to what’s occurring at Brighton, where Roberto de Zerbi arrived last season to succeed Graham Potter turned them into one of the most attractive sides in Europe.

The Italian and his team have been receiving the plaudits and admirers, ever since and it seems one man to add to the list is the current Feyenoord coach.

“Slot is obsessed with De Zerbi and watches all Brighton matches,” Zwart told Voetbal International, relayed by FR12.

“Slot is in front of the TV every weekend. We had interviews with Kökçü, who said that at one point he even went to see Brighton, because Slot couldn’t stop talking about it. This ensures that if everyone in the group is involved in this, it helps.

“The main thing is that they sense when they can or cannot play a pass. Brighton is lord and master at that. If you get your group of players to look at it, that helps enormously. In these types of matches you see that it comes out at Feyenoord.”

Ansu Fati has been urged to take full advantage of a ‘golden opportunity’ at Brighton and Hove Albion as a ‘plague of injuries’ open the door for him.

AS cover the forward today as he continues to endure something of a slow start to life on loan at Brighton this season.

He joined them on a season-long loan deal in the summer as Barcelona elected to let him leave temporarily to revalue himself ahead of a potential move next summer.

He’s yet to fully establish himself under Roberto de Zerbi but several injuries in the squad might have now handed him his chance according to AS.

With Solly March and Danny Welbeck now on the treatment table, they say De Zerbi will need to ‘find solutions’ and Fati is the ‘chosen one’ for him.

He vindicated himself with a goal against Manchester City on the weekend and showed ‘some great minutes’, doing well at what he does best, which they say is being ‘dangerous’.

He was ‘opportunistic’ and demonstrated a ‘great nose for a goal’ and with two important injuries potentially limiting Brighton’s attacking power, now could be his time to shine.

The ‘door to ownership’ has opened again for the Barcelona loanee and the injuries could help him find the consistency he needs to get back to his best.

He’s ‘showing glimpses’ of getting there but is still far away from the ‘great days’ he once enjoyed at Barcelona before a series of injuries halted his progress.

De Zerbi ‘trusts him’ to get back to his best and shine for Brighton and believes ‘he will take a step forward’ sooner rather than later. This evening’s clash with Ajax could be the ‘perfect setting’ to get that underway, with injuries handing him a chance he really shouldn’t pass up.

Brighton & Hove Albion continue to be named as one of the main contenders to sign of Ezequiel Fernandez from Boca Juniors.

This time, it’s Argentine outlet Bolavip who hves a story about the clubs competing to land the 21-year-old.

They claim Brighton are ‘specialists’ in recruiting young talents and say that, unlike Benfica, the Seagulls still haven’t made an offer for the transfer yet.

The English side reportedly ‘shown intention’ to do that in the January transfer window.

It’s recalled that Alexis Mac Allister was once asked about an Argentine footballer he’d take to Brighton, and said Fernandez.

Brighton just need to be aware of the big competition there’s been for his signing, as Benfica, AC Milan and Liverpool are all said to be interested as well.

The Seagulls had already been linked to the player back in September, when they were labelled as a ‘solid option’ for him, and he’s expected to cost at least €20m.

Boca Juniors are about to play a Copa Libertadores final, and that could have a big impact on how much he’ll leave for.

Brighton and Hove Albion defender Jan Paul van Hecke has detailed how the club’s scouting system picked him out, and the plan they put in place for him, which has worked out completely as they said it would.

Van Hecke has been speaking to Voetbal International about his time at Brighton so far, after joining the Seagulls in a €2m deal in September 2020.

He joined Brighton that summer after a year spent playing for NAC Breda in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, the Dutch second tier.

He was initially loaned back to the Netherlands with Heerenveen before then returning to Brighton before joining Blackburn Rovers on a season-long deal in the Championship.

That deal ended last year, and he remained with Brighton, spending a season as a bit part player under Roberto de Zerbi before establishing himself more firmly in the first team so far this season.

He’s now a bonafide part of the squad which continues to compete at the top end of the Premier League and in Europe this season.

It’s been clear step by step progress for the defender, who has revealed that was always the plan, in comments detailing how Brighton found him in the first place.

“Brighton has devised a whole system about the way of playing, but also about the way of scouting,” he said.

“Players have to fit into the system. And in scouting it is one of the best clubs in the world. They also came to me through that system.  That sounded a bit crazy, actually. A Premier League club starting a long-term project with a defender from the Kitchen Champion Division.

“The whole plan was worked out systematically. So, they select through a colour system. Red, orange, green, the list goes on. And if you fall into that green area, they will look. Even if you are active at a lower level, you can be in the club’s field of view in a certain way.

‘I also thought: Premier League? Many people think that you are being used as a commodity, but in this case the picture was correct.

“I was going to play one year in the Eredivisie, then one year in the Championship and then one year of getting used to the Premier League. That was drawn out. And that turned out pretty well, didn’t it?”

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Abdallah Sima has been out on loan since arriving at The Amex in 2021 and the Seagulls allowed him to join Rangers on a temporary deal in the last window.

The forward has scored nine goals from 15 games this season for Rangers and his impressive form has pleased Miloslav Brožek. DNES interviewed the latter and say he’s the Brighton player’s ‘long-time football discoverer’.

The Seagulls signed the Senegal international from Slavia Prague and Brožek worked as a scout at the Czech Republican side from 2021 to 2023, before taking up the managerial job at SFC Opava back in April.

Brožek has revealed he’s in regular contact with the attacker and believes the latter’s career has not stalled since he joined Brighton. In fact, he suggests the player would have found it hard to turn down an opportunity to join the Premier League side.

“I wouldn’t agree that his career has stalled. When he left for England, I was glad that he had already provided for himself in some way. He made a big transfer, got a big contract, which is the basis for everything else,” he said.

“But, of course, I hoped that he would continue to develop sportingly as well, because he had the best possible conditions for that in the new environment. However, we cannot forget the pressure that fell on him at such a young age not only from the public, but also from his own family.

“As a nameless youngster, he experienced an extremely dynamic heyday, and it’s not easy for anyone to deal with that kind of attention.”

According to DNES, Sima has ‘matured’ at Rangers and Brožek has backed him to make a name for himself when he returns to Brighton. The latter believes he could fit perfectly under Roberto De Zerbi at The Amex.

“Where it’s physical, Sima has always dominated. If he had a weakness somewhere, it was his technique and maybe his first touch, but he always made up for it with tremendous dynamism and explosiveness. But beware: the older he gets, the more technical he gets. That’s why I dare to say that he is growing for the Premier League,” Brožek explained.

Manuel Locatelli’s agent Stefano Castelnovo has told Tuttosport that the his client never had any intention to leave Juventus for Brighton & Hove Albion or another club in the summer window.

The 25-year-old knows Roberto De Zerbi very well after working under the Seagulls coach when the pair were at Sassuolo. In fact, it was De Zerbi who signed him for the Serie A side in 2018.

Locatelli initially joined Juve on loan in 2021 and his stay there was made permanent earlier this year. After discussing the difficulties of the operation to take him to the Turin club, the agent was asked if Brighton was an option for his client in the last window.

Responding to that, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, he said: “The possibility of leaving was never real. He always wanted to stay at Juventus and never took other destinations into consideration.”

Last month, Tuttosport claimed De Zerbi longs to sign the Italy international for the Premier League side and it was also stated the coach is the midfielder’s ‘football father’.

Earlier this month, Locatelli publicly stated that he’s keen on working with De Zerbi again in the future.

Despite this, Brighton could find it hard to carry out a potential deal in the future because the player, whose current deal expires in 2026, is in talks with the Old Lady to renew his contract.

When asked about his client’s renewal, Castelnovo explained: “There is a desire on both sides to continue together. Then in due time we will try to get this thing done.”
